Flat linear robots for sorting applications
In this application, the flat linear gantry robot sorts stones according to specific criteria. For example, the robot sorts according to the color, shape or size of the stones. The low cost flat linear gantry from igus is a combination of several linear axes to create a multi-dimensional movement. The gantry includes preconfigured drylin linear modules with NEMA stepper motors as well as all components necessary for self-assembly. Our igus flat gantry with a workspace of 300 x 300 mm, has a repeatability of 0.3 mm, allowing the robot to perform its tasks with precision.
