Pick and Place with the Scara

Automation technology in the laboratory Laboratories offer a lot of automation potential. Pick and place tasks occur there on a large scale and generate high costs if they are carried out by employees. When automated, the ROI is usually achieved within a few months. In this application example, an igus Scara robot was used to sort the test tubes. The Scara has four degrees of freedom and can hold a payload of up to 2 kg. Thanks to the high precision of the robot, the process was easy to automate.
