TruPhysics Faro Scanner on 7th axis

This application was intended to illustrate how a scanning process could be automated with a Faro DMVS scanner. For this purpose, a Universal Robots UR5e 6-axis robot equipped with the scanner was mounted on an igus® linear axis. The cables are safely guided by an igus triflex® energy chain set. The workpiece to be scanned may have a maximum size of 400x500x3000 mm here. With the software, one can program the travel of the scanner and then start it. After the scan, a 3D model of the scanned component is obtained directly.
