Pick parts of different sizes and shapes
In the context of an assembly, parts of different sizes and shapes often have to be gripped by a robot. This example shows how this can succeed. A robolink robot arm from igus is used here. With it, flexible automation with up to 5 degrees of freedom is possible. The articulated arm robot, which can be used individually and flexibly, is very well suited for simple pick and place applications, among others.
In combination with the four-finger gripper from SoftGripper, the handling of different workpieces is very easy. The gripper easily adapts to the workpieces and is therefore very versatile. In addition to its four gripper fingers, it also has a suction cup.
