This application illustrates how the workspace of a Universal Robots jointed-arm robot can be significantly expanded with a seventh axis from igus. The robot grips the ballpoint pen and then moves to the target position on the additional axis. There it places the ballpoint pen in the cup. In this way, monotonous pick and place tasks can be automated.
