In this application, the Control robot controller from fruitcore robotics, in combination with the microScan PRO SICK sensor, enables a safe and reduced speed of a digital robot when approaching before a safety stop occurs. This is made possible by configuring multiple safety inputs in the control, allowing different protective fields to be used simultaneously. Productivity can be increased, the process is interrupted less often, and the safety of the employees is still ensured.

The process for this is as followed:

1. if the laser scanner detects people within a warning field that is furthest away from the protective zone to a standstill, the robot reduces its speed. 2. the Control system monitors this reduced speed of the robot within a defined protective field. 3. if a person enters the innermost protective field, the robot goes into safety stop and the robot program is interrupted. As soon as this field is left again and the warning message on the safety panel has been acknowledged, the program can be safely continued.
