Precise unscrewing of a bottle cap with a Delta robot

Precisely and fast through low cost automation

In this application, Dipl.-Ing. Artur Wiebe automates the opening of a bottle with the help of the Delta robot from igus. The 3-axis robot and a small parts gripper detach the lid from the bottle by rotating the gripper several times around its own axis. With a working diameter of 360 mm, the Delta robot is ideal for applications with small parts. With a precision accuracy of 0.5 mm and a maximum speed of 3 m per second, the robot performs its tasks precisely and quickly.
