Improvised precision test of a space portal
In order to demonstrate the precision of the small igus space gantry (dimensions: 400x400x150 mm), a fine liner was provisionally attached to the Z-axis of the robot, which then travels along a path previously programmed in the igus Robot Control Software and fulfils the requirement precisely and reliably.
Space gantry robots include pre-configured drylin linear modules and linear axes with igus stepper motors as well as all the components required for self-assembly.
Typical applications of our drylin® spatial gantry robots are pick and place, conveyor belt picking and stacking tasks in three-dimensional space. In most cases, the spatial gantry robot provides the platform on which our customers build their application. In combination with a gripper or suction cup, picking tasks can be implemented very quickly.
Feel free to use the igus® gantry configurator and create the right solution for your application.
