Dit toepassingsvoorbeeld van de 3D vision fabrikant Mech Mind laat zien hoe intelligente camerasystemen kunnen worden geïmplementeerd in handlingsprocessen in de productie.

In de blauwe doos liggen de tandwielassen ongesorteerd op elkaar. Om ervoor te zorgen dat de robot ze elke keer correct oppikt, moet de camera de positie herkennen en deze informatie doorgeven aan de robot. De UR3e plaatst de onderdelen vervolgens in een opspanning voor inspectie. Als de kwaliteitscontrole succesvol is, worden de onderdelen gesorteerd.
