De montage van kabelrupsen is een complex proces. Het interne engineeringteam van igus heeft het proces efficiënter gemaakt door subprocessen te automatiseren.

Een 3-assige deltarobot neemt de afzonderlijke onderdelen van een triltafel en plaatst ze in de juiste oriëntatie op een transportband. In een volgende stap pakt de robot een deel van de kabelrups op en plaatst het op een andere locatie zodat een grijper het kan oppakken.
