In this specific customer application, a cost-effective solution for loading and unloading a laser engraving machine was sought and successfully implemented. The igus ReBeL robot takes on the task of picking up the parts to be engraved and precisely placing them into the machine. Subsequently, a linear system equipped with a laser engraving head carries out the engraving process. Once the engraving is complete, the robot removes the processed part from the machine and places it for further processing or packaging.

Thanks to the low cost of the cobot, the investment in this automated solution pays off in a very short time, making it particularly attractive for companies looking to reduce their production costs while simultaneously increasing efficiency.

In this video, we present an advanced solution for downstream sprue separation of clip bearings in injection molding production. The application utilizes a Delta robot system, IRC, rotary conveyor, an igus vacuum gripper with rotation unit, and a Zimmer gripper to optimize the process and increase efficiency.

The setup of the Delta robot and the integration of the IRC are shown, as well as the operation of the rotary conveyor and the camera for precise detection and separation of sprues. The igus vacuum gripper with rotation unit is demonstrated in action, handling the clip bearings safely and efficiently. The Zimmer gripper complements the process with its precise gripping technique. The entire system operates smoothly and efficiently thanks to reliable power and data transmission.

The benefits of this solution include increased production speed, reduced scrap, and improved workplace safety. Additionally, a low footprint is ensured, facilitating integration into various production environments.

The operation of the insertion process is shown step by step, demonstrating the precise positioning and handling of the components. The seamless integration of the insertion system into the existing injection molding machine will then be demonstrated, including the communication interfaces and control logic.

The benefits of this solution include increasing production speed and accuracy, reducing scrap and material waste, and improving worker safety by minimizing manual intervention.

In this application for a customer in the food industry, spices needed to be transferred from a tray into a carton. The challenge was the high precision required due to the tight tolerances. However, this was easily overcome with an igus gantry robot and a flow gripper. The gantry robot enabled precise and repeatable positioning of the spices, while the flow gripper ensured gentle handling of the delicate products. By combining these technologies, an efficient and reliable solution was achieved for the customer, significantly enhancing both product quality and production speed.

Nesse aplicativo específico do cliente, o desafio era implementar dois aplicativos diferentes em um único sistema. Essa foi uma tarefa complexa que exigiu conhecimento técnico e soluções inovadoras. Na primeira etapa do processo, foi necessário usar uma unidade de dosagem para aplicar o adesivo no componente.

Essa etapa exigiu precisão e exatidão para garantir que o adesivo fosse aplicado de maneira uniforme e na quantidade certa. Era importante que esse processo fosse realizado corretamente para garantir a adesão ideal entre os componentes. Após a aplicação do adesivo, o mesmo robô deveria pegar a peça de trabalho a ser colada com uma bomba Cobot especial.

Essa etapa exigiu o manuseio e o posicionamento cuidadosos da peça de trabalho para garantir que ela estivesse corretamente alinhada e preparada para o processo de colagem. Por fim, o robô deveria colar a peça de trabalho com o outro componente. Essa etapa final foi crucial para garantir uma conexão forte e durável entre os dois componentes. Era importante que o robô fosse capaz de fornecer a pressão e o alinhamento exatos necessários para uma colagem bem-sucedida.

Em geral, essa aplicação do cliente foi uma tarefa desafiadora que exigiu planejamento cuidadoso, execução precisa e soluções inovadoras. Apesar dos desafios, o resultado foi um sistema implementado com sucesso, capaz de realizar dois aplicativos diferentes de forma eficiente e eficaz.
